This recorder uses hard disks as main storage devices, easy to setup. For that, it uses Apple ProRes 422 codec, which allows direct editing on Final Cut Studio 2. All files are stored in 4:2:2 HD/SD quality. This device also allows video conversion from SD to HD or 720p to 1080p in real time.
